On Saturday, the San Francisco Bay Area’s BART system opened a five-mile extension from Fremont to Warm Springs/South Fremont. The new Bay Area Rapid Transit section is served by either Daly City or Richmond trains at all times. These lines serve Oakland Airport, with a people-mover from Coliseum Station, and the Daly City line offers cross-platform connections to routes that reach San Francisco International Airport.

But Warm Springs will not be the terminal long. Plans call for an additional extension to the Berryessa area of San Jose later this year. More about BART
